Karen Doyle has been an unyielding community activist for many years and is now taking her community service a step further, by accepting the nomination from her group Cobh Community 4 Change to stand in the local elections which take place on Friday 24th May.
As well as being a founding member of Cobh Community 4 Change, Karen is a founding member of the Cobh (Great Island) Historic Preservation Group; a leading figure in the struggle against water charges and is affiliated to the Right2Water campaign.
Karen helped co-ordinate the resistance to water metering locally and is an organiser against the continued policy of austerity that has led to untold suffering in our communities nationwide.
